Uncapped Rail Jam returns to Capilano University

Truck in some snow, build a rail and some jumps, and you’ve got yourself Capilano University’s 4th Annual Uncapped Rail Jam. The popular event is back this year on January 21 and some of the regions biggest mountains and athletes are getting in on the fun.

Students can take an extended lunch break on Thursday to watch professional snowboarders from Whistler and amateur rail-riders try their best tricks on campus between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. If they want to give it a go, entrance is by a $10 donation to Project Change Foundation.

Capilano Students Association and the Capilano Ski and Snowboard Club has organized the student-run event, which has seen over 1,500 spectators in the last three years.

When: Thursday, January 21; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
