Vancouver adds 15 more free WiFi hot spots throughout city

The City of Vancouver is adding more free WiFi hot spots to their network with the inclusion of 15 more community centres and parks.

There are a total of 21 civic locations with free WiFi available, including six already installed this year in Mount Pleasant, Champlain Heights, Coal Harbour and Yaletown Roundhouse Community Centres and the Langara and Fraserview Golf Clubs.

The network, #VanWiFi operated by TELUS, will soon be available in 43 civic buildings and locations, such as outdoor pools, theatres, marinas, and recreational facilities. The next 22 hot spots will be installed in 2016.
