Crime scene police tape murder

More information is beginning to surface into the suspicious death yesterday morning in Maple Ridge.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says a 33-year-old Pitt Meadows man was found dead in his vehicle near 216th Street and Lougheed Highway.

He’s not known to police, and IHIT adds there’s no indication his death is tied to gang violence in the Lower Mainland.

An area of the Haney Presbyterian Church parking lot was blocked off yesterday.

Few details are available at this time.
