At the first sight of -6°, it’s time to start planning your escape from the bone-chilling winter to warmer, sandier shores. A picture-perfect getaway is equal parts relaxation, adventure, and sun on your face. The only festival that ticks all of these must-haves is Wanderlust O’ahu, which is heading to O’ahu’s fabled North Shore this February.

In preparation, we broke down the top 4 reasons why this festival is our next winter escape (as if you needed any convincing…).

1. Savasana = Ultimate relaxation

At Wanderlust O’ahu, you can take your R&R to a whole new level during savasana. At the end of your vinyasa yoga classes (did we mention you can schedule three yoga and meditation classes per day?), you’ll find yourself flat on your back in post-yoga bliss while rejuvenating your mind, body, and soul.

2. Find Your flow on the water

With Wanderlust’s stand up paddleboard program and SUP yoga, find your centre while floating along the serene Hawaiian coastline. At this year’s festival, Gillian Gibree, Sarah Tiefenthaler, and Jeramie Vaine will lead you through their world-renowned classes on the water. Whether a novice or a professional, you can practice with the world’s best outside a standard studio.

3. Warm Vibes and sweet beats

We’re not just talking about O’ahu’s year-round sunshine. Wanderlust has moments that will give your tribe good vibes all weekend long. Cozy up at a campfire jam for an intimate concert on the beach or sing your heart out to Citizen Cope and Trevor Hall’s latest tunes. Get ready to surround yourself in warmth with your fellow festival-goers dancing in the sand.

4. Hang loose

Adventure Hawaiian style by hiking, kayaking, biking, surfing, horseback riding, snorkeling and more. At Wanderlust O’ahu, explore new heights and depths with local guides to gain a true appreciation for this ancient island. When was the last time you swam with a giant sea turtle?
