30 surreal photos of Vancouver engulfed by fog

Thick fog cover blanketed much of the Metro Vancouver region on the first day of October and the first foggy day of the season.

Residents woke up to fog cover, which dissipated over most inland areas by the afternoon but lingered on and near the water. But the fog returned as the evening approached and casted an eerie glow on light emitted from building, street and vehicle lights.

As usual, this will likely be the first of many foggy Vancouver days to come over the coming months.

For Friday’s forecast, fog is anticipated to linger until the morning and there will be a chance of showers throughout the day. Sunny conditions will return on Saturday and last until at least Tuesday.
