Have a good old fashioned Richmond Halloween with the huge variety of events, celebrations, and fireworks shows happening all across the city. There’s something for everyone, young and old, scaredy-cats and fear addicts alike.

Trick-or-Treat and Tours

  • What: Trick-or-treat along the boardwalk buildings of Richmond’s historic shipyard, make your own Halloween basket, and take part in a free, 30-minute walking tour that takes you through the lives and deaths of the workers who called Richmond home.
  • Where: Britannia Shipyards, Chinese Bunkhouse – 5180 Westwater Drive, Richmond
  • When: Saturday, October 24 and Saturday, October 31; 1 to 3 p.m.

Halloween Street and Fireworks

  • What: Featuring trick-or-treating, crafts, haunted houses, bouncy castles, games, and more, this event is your all-in-one stop for Halloween festivities. Admission is either cash, or bring a non-perishable food donation to get in free! At 9 p.m., the fireworks start, celebrating All Hallows Eve for another year!
  • Where: South Arm Community Centre – 8880 Williams Road, Richmond
  • When: Saturday, October 31; 5 to 9 p.m.

Halloween Skate

  • What: Ghosts and ghouls will be hitting the ice at Minoru Arenas for this year’s Halloween Skate. Come in costume and get free skate rentals. Regular admission prices still apply.
  • Where: Minoru Arenas – 7551 Minoru Gate, Richmond
  • When: Saturday, October 31; 2 to 5 p.m.

Halloween Youth Skate

  • What: Once the sun goes down, the monsters come out. $2 admission and rentals accompany a Halloween atmosphere and live DJ for some late night Halloween goodness.
  • Where: Minoru Arenas – 7551 Minoru Gate, Richmond
  • When: Friday, October 30; 8:30 to 10 p.m.

Haunted Halloween Skate

  • What: There are no shortage of skating events tonight. Come to the Richmond Olympic Oval for a late night athletic event. A costume contest, pumpkin carving, and prizes ensures this party will have something for everyone.
  • Where: Richmond Olympic Oval – 6111 River Road, Richmond
  • When: Friday, October 30; 8 to 9:45 p.m.

Halloween Fireworks Festival

  • What: This free event features music, dancing demonstrations, a magic show, fire-jugglers, and even… clowns. That’s right, clowns on Halloween. At 8:30 p.m. the fireworks begin, so make sure to get here early.
  • Where: Minoru Park – 7191 Granville Avenue, Richmond
  • When: Saturday, October 31; 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Halloween Fireworks

  • What: Free community-based fireworks! The show starts at 8 p.m, one of many of the wonderful fireworks shows happening across Richmond tonight.
  • Where: McLean Park – 22500 McLean Avenue, Richmond
  • When: Saturday, October 31; 8 p.m.

Halloween Fireworks at Hugh Boyd Park

  • What: More fireworks! The skies of Richmond will be alive with light and sound, including this show at the West Richmond Community Centre. At this rate, you’ll be ableto see four fireworks shows one after the other. What a treat.
  • Where: West Richmond Community Centre – 9180 No. 1 Road, Richmond
  • When: Saturday, October 31; 8:15 p.m.
