The Pattullo Bridge will be closed to all vehicle traffic from Friday, October 16 at 9 p.m. until noon on Sunday, October 18, according to a statement released by Translink.

The closure will be for “essential pothole repairs” on the bridge and Translink says there will be plenty of signage to indicate the closure to motorists.

Several potholes have already been repaired, but more are needed to “keep the bridge safe for drivers.”

Translink is recommending drivers plan alternative routes through the weekend if they plan on crossing the Fraser River. The following two bus routes will experience longer travel times that usual:

  • The N19 NightBus, which will reroute via the Alex Fraser and Queensborough Bridges
  • The #321 on Sunday morning will end at Scott Road

As part of a seismic upgrade program, the bridge will receive more extensive deck repairs in  2016. For more information on how traffic will be affected by those upgrades, click here.
