If we told you that the world record for most motorcycles driven over a human body whilst laying on a bed of nails was not only a thing, but a thing that happened in Vancouver, would you believe us?

Deniers be gone! This official world record was indeed set on Monday at the PNE fairgrounds by the esteemed masters of shock and awe, the Monsters of Schlock, who set up their truly disturbing shows at Fright Nights every Halloween.

The previous record for motorcycles-driven-over-body-lying-on-nails was actually held by the Italian Simone Calati. This time it was Burnaby Q. Orbax who sacrificed a great deal of comfort for 70 motorcycles to drive over his torso in two minutes while he lay on a bed of nails.

Other Monsters of Schlock records include the most number of mouse traps released on a human tongue in one minute and the longest truck pull with meat hooks in a person’s back, pulling a four-tonne truck a total of 111.7 metres. They’ve also broke the Guinness World Record for weightlifting using hooks in a human face.

The video shot by the PNE unfortunately does not include any images of what Orbax’s back looked like after the event, but he does not show too much distress during the stunt itself.
