Watch Ryan Reynolds try to assemble an IKEA baby crib

Putting together almost anything purchased from IKEA is usually a test of patience endowed upon the world by evil Swedish masterminds giddily watching from afar. Canadian movie-star and new dad, Ryan Reynolds, faces no exception.

The star of the upcoming Deadpool film sat down with GQ Magazine recently and currently graces their October edition’s cover, but what didn’t make the issue was a video of Reynolds attempting to put together the Hensvik baby crib from IKEA.

The magazine released the clip online this week and fans are sympathizing with the new dad who was obviously hamming it up for the camera.

Faced with a million screws and pieces of crib, Reynolds, who was born and bred in B.C., quickly tosses the instruction manual aside, gets on the phone with customer service and downs one or two (or three) beers. He eventually has had enough and decides to put the crib together his own way.

Reynold’s wife, Blake Lively, and their daughter James don’t appear in the video, but we assume the A-list family has no problem getting a crib put together for them in real life.
