  • What: Whether you’re trying to set up a simple website for your small business, a personal blog, or perhaps you use WordPress at work and would like to learn more, this workshop is for you. From pages to posts, widgets to plugins, you’ll learn all about how to customize and maintain WordPress on your own website.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. CD Olympia

  • What: The Whitecaps face off against the CD Olympia at BC Place.
  • Where: BC Place – 777 Pacific Boulevard, Vancouver
  • When: Wednesday, September 16; 7 p.m.

Empire of the Sun

  • What: Australian electro-glam-pop duo Empire of the Sun make their way to Vancouver for the first time since 2013, and will once again be playing the Orpheum Theatre. The group were in B.C. when they played at Pemberton Music Festival last summer.
  • Where: The Orpheum Theatre – 601 Smithe Street, Vancouver
  • When: Wednesday, September 16; 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Improv Against Humanity

  • What: After an epic staycation tour around Vancouver in the Spring and Summer, #IAHatRIO is back on Wednesday, September 16 to kick off the Fall Comedy Season. There will be hilarious comedy, epic prizes to be won in our live CAH tournament, and the Most Horrible Person in Vancouver will be crowned.
  • Where: Rio Theatre – 1660 East Broadway, Vancouver
  • When: Wednesday, September 16; 8 to 10 p.m.

Flip the Script featuring Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike

  • What: The Roxy and Red Bull present Flip The Script featuring legendary turntablist and Beastie Boys member Mix Master Mike. DJ’s, BBoys and MC’s take over this iconic Vancouver institution for an incredible night of beats with support sets from Vancity favourites Vinyl Ritchie and JT James.
  • Where: The Roxy – 932 Granville Street, Vancouver
  • When: Wednesday, September 16; 8 p.m.
