Trout Lake Playground

Also known as John Hendry Park, this spot has plenty of lush green space. The playground isn’t the biggest area, and it lacks some of the basic of things, but still has the essential fun and unique recreational equipment to keep the kids happy while you go on picnics.

Address: 3300 Victoria Drive  (at East 15th Avenue)

Stanley Park (Second Beach)

Second Beach features a huge area for kids to play. The playground is separated into different sections: the swing sets, a mini skate park, the recreational equipment and green space for you to kick around a ball. The Second Beach playground is also famous for its Stanley Park Fire Department firetruck model kids can play in.

Address: Stanley Park Drive at North Lagoon Drive

David Lam Park

The David Lam Park playground has got all the basics. Located in the heart of Yaletown, this park is great for neighbourhood locals with toddlers. This location features swings, a slide set and some more recreational structures. However, this playground is surrounded by concrete.

Address: 1300 Pacific Boulevard

Coopers’ Playground

Sitting underneath the Cambie Street bridge, this playground at Coopers’ Park is surely a unique one. Don’t let its location hold you back; the out-of-the-ordinary setting is fun for kids and lets their imagination go wild.

Address: 1020 Marinaside Crescent

Granville Island Playground

Already brimming with culture and tourist attractions, Granville Island also managed to fit in a playground. This location is great to go to on a hot sunny day, as the playground is located right next to the Granville Island water park — the biggest free water park in North America.

Address: Off Cartwright Street, Granville Island
