The major Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay route is currently operating nearly an hour behind schedule due to adverse conditions caused by high winds. According to the ferry corporation, wind speeds at the Tsawwassen terminal have reached 90 km/h.

However, there are only minor delays of between 10 to 15 minutes for the Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay sailings.

Sailings from Tsawwassen to the Southern Gulf Islands have been cancelled.

Some routes leading to and from ferry terminals were blocked by debris earlier in the day.

As of 3 p.m., approximately 300,000 B.C. Hydro customers are without power.
