For many of us, today marks the start of our week – it may as well be Monday. Even after a lovely long weekend, you might still be looking for a little fun in Vancouver, so here are five things to do in the city today, Tuesday, August 4.

Free Outdoor Movies in Stanley Park

  • What: The Evo Summer Cinema Series at Stanley Park free outdoors movies returns every Tuesday from July 7 to August 25. Today’s movie is the aviation classic Top Gun.
  • Where: Ceperley Meadows – Stanley Park, Vancouver
  • When: Tuesday, August 4; 8 to 10:30 p.m.

Summerfest 2015

  • What: From June 26 to September 6, residents of and visitors to Vancouver can take part in over 10 weeks of live music, dancing, dance lessons, yoga and other fun-filled community events at Lonsdale Quay Market.
  • Where: Lonsdale Quay – 123 Carrie Cates Court, North Vancouver
  • When: Tuesday, August 4; all day

Stephen Spender at The Roxy

  • What: Singer/Songwriter Stephen Spender was born in London England before his family emigrated to Canada, living first in Winnipeg and Calgary before Vancouver where he now calls home. He’ll be performing tonight at The Roxy.
  • Where: The Roxy – 932 Granville Street, Vancouver
  • When: Tuesday, August 4; 8 p.m.

Tea Zen by Don Wong, Lam Wong & Bryan Mulvihill

  • What: Tea Zen exhibition gives a glimpse of how the tea captures the human spirit and relates to Zen. The exhibit showcases Lam Wong’s documentary in which he interviews tea farmers, tea lovers, artists, tea masters and a Zen monk, and the exquisite calligraphy scrolls written by master calligrapher, Don Wong.
  • Where: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden – 578 Carrall Street, Vancouver
  • When: Tuesday, August 4; 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

New Westminster Group Pride Exhibition

  • What: The Arts Council of New Westminster is proud to present it’s first ever LGBTQ group exhibition in partnership with the New West Pride Society. It runs from July 21, 2015 to August 16, 2015.
  • Where: Montague Studio Gallery – Queens Park, New Westminster
  • When: Tuesday, August 4; 1 to 5 p.m.
