After checking out the world famous Vancouver Pride Parade, head down to sunset beach to celebrate the city’s LGBTQ2+ community at the Vancouver Pride Festival 2015, hosted by the Vancouver Pride Society.

Every year the festival draws tens of thousands of visitors, and this year won’t be any different. With live music, DJs, dancing, a food and vendor market, drag performers, and keynote speakers, the festival stands to be an inspiring, accepting, and love-filled day.

The Pride Festival’s Family Zone at Jervis Street and Beach Avenue will have a delicious array of street food and cool beverages, as well as free and by-donation entertainment for the whole family, including a bouncy castle, the TD Kids Mural, and a Puppy Play Area by the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society, with real, live, adorable puppies. The Pride Society is doing their best to make this a completely accessible and enjoyable festival for everyone. For those with mobility issues, shade tents will be provided next to cement pathways. There will be ASL interpreters and a signing area, provided by the B.C. Rainbow Alliance for the Deaf. More information, as well as braille copies of the Pride Guide, will be available at the Accessibility Tent.
