Perseid meteor shower

What better way to spend a summer evening than camping under the stars with your friends and family, sipping a nice cup of hot chocolate and watching thousands of heavenly bodies race overhead.

That’s what you’ll get at Aldergrove Regional Park’s annual Meteor Walk & Watch. Falling during the Perseid Meteor Shower, this event features music, arts & crafts, food and astronomy. Attendees can view the shower through telescopes, talk with astronomers and walk the park’s lantern lit trails, fully enjoying this stellar event.

The Perseid Meteor Shower was first recorded by human eyes in 36 AD, and comes every year in the trail of the Swift-Tuttle comet. This event offers a great way to experience a phenomenon humanity has been watching in awe for thousands of years.
