If you’ve heard the rumblings, the rumour out there is that Vancouverites like to complain a lot. While we live in one of the best cities in the world, according to numerous rankings, somehow we can always find something to whine about.

Between the weather, government decisions and TransLink, if you haven’t complained about the things on this list at least once, you’re probably not from Vancouver.

It’s too hot.

It’s so cold.

Why is it always raining?

It’s so dry and there’s no water.

I had to wait at the bus stop forever.

I had to sit in traffic forever.

My rent is so expensive.

I’ll never be able to afford a house.

There are so many homeless people.

Granville Street smells like pee.

They need to build more social housing.

There’s too many sketchy people in my building.

TransLink wastes so much money.

People here are so unfriendly.

I haven’t been on a date, in like, forever.

There’s no good nightclubs here.

Why does the SkyTrain stop running so early?

My street food hot dog was like $10.

Our team never wins the Stanley Cup.

There’s a marijuana dispensary too close to my home.

There isn’t a marijuana dispensary near my home.

I wish we had Uber.

The government has to do something about foreign real estate investment.

There’s no snow.

I hate snow.
