According to NFL analyst Peter King, quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks have confirmed a four-year contract extension.

The $87.6 million deal includes a $31-million signing bonus, with approximately $60-million guaranteed. The deal was confirmed by ESPN shortly after.

Wilson’s high number of game wins has earned him the title as one of the best starting quarterbacks, carrying a total of 36 wins in his first three seasons. The deal averages $21.9 million a year, putting him in place as the second-highest paid quarterback in football, behind Aaron Rodgers’ $22-million-a-year salary.
