Murder charges laid in death of Vancouver mother

A man has been charged with second degree murder in the death of a 36-year-old mother of five.

Crystal Rose Paul was found dead in her basement suite on East 22nd Street near Main Street on March 3.

Crystal’s boyfriend, Daniel Paul, was on the run from police for nearly a month before he was caught on April 1 after an extensive search and public appeals. A $10,000 reward was offered for his capture.

The 42-year-old has now been charged in relation to the death of Crystal.

The VPD will not provide further details since the case is now before the courts.
