Knifewear: The World's Sharpest Pop-Up

Knifewear is a truly unique pop-up experience featuring high performance Japanese kitchen knives brought to us through thisopenspace and Kevin Kent.

Often travelling to Japan to meet his suppliers and learn about the art of handcrafted Japanese knives, Kent took the opportunity to become good friends with many of the Japanese craftsmen. So much so, that he was able to produce a documentary on the subject titled Springhammer.

Knifewear will be opening their Vancouver pop-up shop at thisopenspace (434 Columbia Street in Chinatown) from July 27 to August 2. There will be a film screening of the Springhammer documentary on July 27 at 7 p.m. Please email if you’d like to attend.

The shop itself will feature handmade knives, blacksmith prototypes, one-of-a-kind knives, Canadian-made cutting boards, chef curated cookbooks, sharpening stones, chef gadgets, straight razors and axes available for purchase. Email to attend the grand opening party on July 28 at 6 p.m.
