In a new tweet, lululemon announced they’re pulling their sponsorship from Premier Christy Clark’s “Om The Bridge” Yoga Day Vancouver event happening June 21.
@geoffberner We've heard the feedback and have decided not to participate. We'll honour the tradition of yoga in a new way, stay tuned.

The event would see the Burrard Bridge close to make way for a giant yoga party, and the premier has received flack for hosting the event on the same day as National Aboriginal Day.
As such, Aboriginal groups are planning on protesting “Om The Bridge.”
The total cost for the even will be $150,000. lululemon had provided $10,000 as part of their sponsorship agreement.
Yesterday, Clark stoked the flames of the controversy by tweeting out a picture of herself addressed to “yoga haters”:
Hey Yoga Haters- bet you can’t wait for international Tai Chi day. pic.twitter.com/1sEfIwKbG3
