Stanley Park Owl Prowl

  • What: Join local birding experts, Al Grass and Robyn Worcester, for a night to hoot about. A presentation on natural history and identifying owls of Metro Vancouver, followed by a walk in the park after dark to look for them using owl survey techniques.

New Kids on the Block with special guests TLC and Nelly

  • What: ’90s hit-makers New Kids on the Block rock Rogers Arena with fellow pop group TLC and rapper Nelly.

Kings Head Comedy

Cinco de Mayo in Vancouver

A Lecture by Jacques Herzog, Herzog & de Meuron

  • What: Award-winning architect Jacques Herzog will present a lecture at the Orpheum Theatre in the context of the current exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery Material Future: The Architecture of Herzog & de Meuron and the Vancouver Art Gallery. Audience will learn about the firm’s vision of how architecture can shape cities and cultural life.

The Regional Assembly of Text: Letter Writing Club

Neil Diamond World Tour 2015

  • What: Neil Diamond, iconic Grammy Award-winning Rock and Pop Singer/Songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member brings “Sweet Caroline” and other hits to Rogers Arena.

International Summer Night Market

  • What: Each weekend over 20,000 visitors hit up this massive summertime night market in Richmond and experience the diverse array of booths, food and drink vendors, kids’ play area, and live entertainment.

  • When: Friday, May 8 to September 27; Fridays and Saturdays 6 to 11 p.m. and Sundays 6 to 10 p.m.

Lucha Libre – A Night of Mexican Wrestling

  • What: Members of Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling come to the Commodore Ballroom in celebration of Cinco de Mayo with five high-flying, over-the-top matches – Mexican style!
