Diehard fans of Irish band U2 began camping outside Rogers Arena a full three days before the first of the back-to-back concerts is scheduled to begin.

Campers were first spotted early Monday afternoon with chairs and tents on Pat Quinn Way under the viaducts just outside of the stadium. Later in the night, they were joined by about two dozen loiterers hoping to catch a glimpse of U2 exiting the building after a day of rehearsals.

The band made the transition from Pacific Coliseum to Rogers Arena over the weekend. They have been in the city for many weeks, rehearsing at the East Vancouver stadium since mid-April.

U2 will kick off their worldwide iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour at Rogers Arena with two concerts on Thursday and Friday. Their six-month-long tour spans 70 dates and 20 cities in North America and Europe.

These folks are lined up 3 days day for the U2 concert. #bnobsandturtlegowest #U2 #nameonalist
