Metro Vancouver’s homicide investigators have arrested two men for their alleged involvement in the death of 27-year-old North Vancouver resident James Enright at SkyTrain’s Edmonds Station two weeks ago.

A 22-year-old male has been charged with second degree murder while an 18-year-old male is facing charges of manslaughter and assault causing bodily harm.

On Saturday, February 15 just after 12:30 a.m., Burnaby RCMP responded to report of a fight just outside the entrance of Edmonds Station. Upon arriving at the scene, they found Enright with severe stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

The case was handed over to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, which determined that Enright did not know his alleged assailants but he intervened when a friend was confronted by the strangers.

The identities of the accused will not be published due to a publication ban. Both men will remain in custody for their next court appearances.
