As part of the Seasons Festival, Free Association will be taking over every room in Fortune Sound Club. From 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, Free Association will host over 40 local and international artists for a multi-room interactive visual arts and music experience. Free Association and Blueprint are putting on this event to celebrate and bring awareness to the talented and creative artists in Vancouver’s community.

The event will consist of live music, DJs, visuals, a zine fair, installations and a multi-dimensional experience and will feature many of Vancouver’s well-known creative minds in music, art and design. Expect to see work from local artists like 1080p, Pacific Rhythm, Genero Sound, Knauf & Brown, Peace Library, Club Gear and Strawberry Jacuzzi.

The the main room in Fortune Sound Club will transform into a live electronic music showcase featuring live sets, DJs, producers, all-female record label Generosound, and electronic music label Pacific Rhythm Selectors. Richard MacFarlane from electronic tape label, 1080p, will be hosting a pop-up music and art lounge in Fortune Sound Club featuring New York special guest producer Max Mcferren.

Local designers Knauf & Brown will curate a group art show titled Unlimited Edition where they have invited a roster of designers, painters, illustrators, and photographers to create 24″ x 36″ posters. The artwork will be printed on demand and available to be purchased at the show. The art shows concept is focused on local creative commerce and is in response to the proliferation of limited editions of consumer goods. Other areas will be converted into interactive libraries, a pop up shop, a mesmerizing light and lounge installation and a mini black light art gallery from local skateboard collective Club Gear.
