In classes filled with hundreds of students, you would think that it’s fairly easy for university students to make new friends and find a plethora of study buddies.

This, however, is not the case for many students as most of these faces remain just another unfamiliar person that you recognize in the halls.

With students rushing in and out of classes and sitting any available seat, it is seldom that they will even sit next to the same person twice in a row, causing an anti-social environment.

Meet Me There, the new released app on Android and iOS by local Vancouverites, is making it easier for students to connect. Students can add in their class schedules and see which other students are in their classes. They can also search through people that have the app at their same university and “swipe right” if interested in sparking up a conversation with them.

The app also makes it easier for you to connect with people at events. You can follow clubs and organizations, including Vancity Buzz, that you are most interested in. You’ll receive direct invitations to events and be kept in the loop of what events are gong on and which one of your friends are attending. Creating events is as easy as a touch on your screen and can easily be sent through by text message, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and more.
