Ryan Miller injured, will be gone 4-6 weeks

The Vancouver Canucks will be without starting goaltender Ryan Miller for a minimum of 4-6 weeks, according to a report from Dan Murphy

Miller was injured after a collision with Jannik Hansen on Sunday against the Islanders, forcing him to leave the game.

If Miller is gone for 6 weeks, it will mean the Canucks will be without their starting goalie until just before the end of the season. The final game of the regular season is on April 11.

Jacob Markstrom has been recalled by the Canucks on an emergency basis, meaning he is exempt from waivers if he plays fewer than 10 games before Miller returns.

Without Miller, the Canucks will lean heavily on capable backup, Eddie Lack. This is a great opportunity for Lack, who many feel is capable of being a number one goalie, to prove himself as an everyday starting goaltender.
