In what may be the coolest V-Day event happening around town, Robson Square Ice Rink will be providing an officiant from Young, Hip and Married to offer complimentary vow renewals and wedding ceremonies to those looking to put a ring on it this season.

The event will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, and will be followed by a skate to romantic music from 9 to 11 p.m.

Even the singletons of the city might enjoy witnessing the formal declarations of love, or a take a casual skate themselves. UBC’s Heart and Stroke Foundation Club will be on scene, along with ‘Hearty’ the mascot, with hot chocolate by donation beginning at 11 a.m.

Take a second to get in the mood for the big event by listening to some of the the cheesiest and most romantic love songs of all time.

I Will Always Love You – Whitney Houston

At Last – Etta James
