Body of missing truck driver found in a container at B.C. mill

The body of 66-year-old Perry Thomas, who went missing while delivering wood chips to Catalyst Paper Mill in Crofton, B.C. has been found.

Workers at the mill reported the truck driver missing this past Tuesday, when they could not find him after he arrived for work.

A search was conducted and Thomas’ body was recovered on Thursday. The container in which he was found was located close to where he was meant to dump the wood-chips.

Thomas could not be resuscitated. The mill, RCMP and WorkSafeBC are currently investigating the death.
