Brothers Brad and Dallas Woodhouse are now the winners of awkward calls after their mother phoned in live on CSPAN’s Washington Journal on Tuesday morning and scolded them for their political feud.
Both men are pundits that represent the opposite ends of the ideological spectrum: Brad is a Democrat and the the president of superPAC America Bridge while Dallas is a Republican and the president of Carolina Rising.
“Oh God, it’s mom,” said an embarrassed Dallas after picking up the unplanned phone call.
“Is this really your mom?” host Steve Scully asked. “Yes. That is our mother,” Dallas responded.
“I disagree that all families are like ours. I don’t know many families that are fighting at Thanksgiving. I was very glad that this Thanksgiving was a year that you two were supposed to go to your in-laws,” said mother Joy Woodhouse on live television. “I’m hoping that you’ll have some of this out of your system when you come here for Christmas. I would really like a peaceful Christmas.”
The call ended with Joy telling her sons she loves them and her sons telling her that they’ll see her this weekend for Christmas.
