Canuck Place shines bright for holiday season with over 60,000 lights

On Wednesday night, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice lit up for the holiday season with over 60,000 twinkling lights illuminating the hospice grounds.

“Tonight these lights represent the spirit of care and support for over 560 children and families on the Canuck Place program from all over British Columbia,” said Canuck Place CEO, Margaret McNeil.

The 60,000 lights were installed over a period of one month with the help of Festilight, Canada’s premier decorative lighting specialist, and 45 Canucks employees. The hospice lighting also featured a performance by the Vancouver EnChor Choir, activities for children and an appearance by FIN, the Vancouver Canucks mascot.

Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is a pediatric pallilative care provider for children with life-threatening illnesses from the ages of 0-19. From diagnosis to end-of-life care, Canuck Place ensures families have the tools to move forward with hope.
