Porn company will give Air Canada pilots free memberships

Air Canada pilots have come under fire recently for leaving pornographic materials in their airplane cockpits, and in response a porn company wants to get those pilots on board.

In an open letter addressed to “Air Canada’s porn-enthusiast pilots,” the Montreal-based Brazzers said they would provide free memberships to any pilots for as long as they are employed by Air Canada.

Brazzers, which operates an online network of 31 hardcore pornography websites, says they understand the pilots’ plight, and want to help:

We are beyond ecstatic that you love pornography so much, but flight safety should be your number one concern. Don’t worry, we’re not mad, just a bit disappointed you didn’t reach out to us first to lend a helping hand.

An internal memo at Air Canada was circulated last year warning pilots they could be subject to prosecution if they continue to neglect to remove “inappropriate material” from the flight deck when their shift is over.

According to a female pilot with AC who first raised the issue six years ago with her employer, she often found pornographic materials “displayed, glued and tucked in a variety of areas in the cockpit on Air Canada’s Embraer fleet of planes.” The materials are mostly “business cards” showing sexually explicit images.

Those particular planes are used on AC routes to and from Las Vegas; the incidents, say the airline, are isolated to that route. Air Canada said an independent third party investigation “determined the frequency with which such materials were found to be limited,” adding that the airline “took immediate corrective action” for the pilots involved.

Even though those AC pilots may not be leaving evidence of their leisurely pursuits behind in the workplace, there may be a good number of pilots at the airline who like what Brazzers has to offer.

Here’s the full text of the offer, which was sent to Vancity Buzz via email. (PS how about that closing line?!)

UPDATE Oct. 8: Brazzers says they’ve heard from their first Air Canada employee who tweeted them about the promotion. Unfortunately, the eager porn enthusiast doesn’t quite qualify for a membership for the duration of his employment, but coming forward does have its perks.

Here’s what Brazzers told us about Wingerter’s status:

Air Canada employee, Brett Wingerter, does not fly for Air Canada. However, he does work for the airline and he possesses a valid pilot’s license. Although BRAZZERS.COM cannot offer an unlimited membership for the duration of his employment due to the fact that he is not an Air Canada pilot, they commended him for his courage to reach out by gifting him a free one year membership. BRAZZERS will honor the offer to all Air Canada pilots wishing to redeem their all access pass.
