Every few years, certain films turn from visual entertainment to global phenomenon. Whether you’re talking Star Wars, Lord of the Rings or The Matrix, these are all moments in time where most people can say ” I was there when…”.
Marvel Studios has been unmatched so far in their flawless strategic planning of creating a cinematic world where multiple characters and franchises can co-exist and continue on for the foreseeable future.
The studio’s latest project Avengers 2: Age of Ultron will be the next jewel added to their crown of cinematic supremacy. With other studios (DC Entertainment, Warner Bros, Fox) looking to catch up on what Kevin Feige (CEO of Marvel Studios) started in 2008, Marvel needed a solid follow up to one of the their most successful comic book films to date – and they just might of done it.
Here is the plot that we know of so far:
“When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and it is up to The Avengers to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans.” – MARVEL
The trailer was originally supposed to air on Marvel’s television show Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD next Tuesday in an effort to boost the series’ low ratings, but someone had already leaked the trailer. So instead of waiting and letting the low quality video surf the internet, the studio decided to release it ahead of schedule. (Bad for Agents of Shield, amazing early treat for all us sweaty nerds!)
