After two years of playing host to Vancouver’s pop up stores, the Chinatown Experiment has ended. But not so fast – the pop up ready storefront has re-branded. Introducing, thisopenspace.

It’s the same idea but a refreshed look and new vibe. The flagship pop-up ready storefront on 434 Columbia St. will continue to put on events revolving around retail and food, arts shows and installations, creative gatherings and workshops. thisopenspace expands by on this by creating an online blog to champion all things pop-up related in Vancouver, as well as helping clients find pop-up ready spaces, connect to an engaged, and put on stellar events.

This year they’ve helped brands and artists find other temporary pop-up ready spaces around town. They have realized that the flagship storefront is only one part of what they do. Recognizing the shift and potential for growth, they needed a new identity to capture it all, thisopenspace

For Creative Director Yashar Nijati the new identity, thisopenspace, and the motto #roomtoplay captures the mission of providing an idea playground and fully supporting the creativity that happens inside.
