Two men have been arrested and charged for luring children, and police are concerned that there could be more young victims.
Surrey RCMP says John Wells and Kelly Pearson, both 24-year-old male residents of Delta, face numerous charges for offences of sexual nature.
Wells is charged with five counts of luring a child and one count of invitation to sexual touching while Pearson is charged with three counts of invitation to sexual touching, one count of sexual interference and one count of possession of child pornography.
Their offences are believed to have occurred over the internet and at a paintball field in Surrey where they regularly played in a paintball league.
The men were arrested on Wednesday and have since been released from police custody on strict conditions that include no contact with their victims, no contact with anyone 16 years of age or under, and not to access the internet.
Investigators have been successful at identifying some of the victims affected by Wells and Pearson’s actions, but believe there may be further victims and witnesses who have yet to come forward.
The RCMP is requesting for the public’s assistance in this investigation.
