25-year-old suffers serious injuries from home invasion attack in Mission

RCMP are pleading for he public’s help for any tips to a serious overnight attack during a home invasion in Mission.

Early this morning at 1 a.m., three men wearing hoodies and balaclavas forced their way into a home in the 32300 block of Diamond Avenue. The the couple living in the home attempted to confront the three suspects.

However, the 25-year-old male resident was assaulted and struck several times in the head with a metal object causing multiple lacerations and fractures to the skull.

The suspects then fled the scene westbound in a silver car, possibly a Mazda. The victim was quickly transported to hospital and is in serious but stable condition.

Police say the incident is not believed to have been random and appears to have been a targeted attack. There was no evidence of criminal activity occurring at the victim residence.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. A cash reward of up to $2,000 will be paid for any information which leads to an arrest and charge.
