Though the City of Vancouver boasts some very tall buildings (some may say not tall enough thanks to the city’s viewcone restrictions), the surrounding suburbs also are home to some enviable towers.

The future of skyscrapers looks particularly promising for Burnaby and Surrey. Both suburbs are in the process of building the tallest towers within their respective boarders.

Though the City of Vancouver boasts some very tall buildings (some of the tallest in the country in fact!), surrounding cities also are home to some enviable skyscrapers.

  • Central City Building – Surrey

    The Central City Building in Surrey spans 26 floors and 119m. It is home to a Skytrain station, multiple business and Simon Fraser University.

  • Metrotower II – Burnaby

    The Metrotower II is above Metropolis at Metrotown and boasts 30 floors that reache a total of 111m. It has direct access to SkyTrain and is above the 400 shops at Metrotown.

  • Chancellor Building – Burnaby

    Located across from Metropolis at Metrotown, the Chancellor building has 37 floors and spans 110m. It’s also home to the best views of Deer Lake and the North Shore mountains.
