If you’re a music buff or simply love fun outdoor events, then you’ll want to head to the Khatsahlano Block Party tomorrow. Not only is it the right price tag (free!), but it’s also an all-ages event that’s taking place over 10 blocks in Kitsilano. Because dancing in the streets tends to cause hunger, Vancity Buzz and Chowmenow have lined up a few restaurants along West 4th where you can refuel for $5 or less.

Tractor Foods

At Tractor Foods, choose from a number of cheap eats on their always healthy and seasonal menu, such as $3.25 salads, $5 protein salads, $5 half sandwiches, or $5 half orders of grilled protein.

They have over 60 items on their menu that are under $5. From dishes like tako wasa (octopus with wasabi sauce) to chicken yakitori skewers, there are plenty to share and chow down on.

Lucky’s Doughnuts

Lucky's Dougnuts

There’s something about doughnuts and java that just makes perfect sense. At 49th Parallel enjoy a $4 coffee and a featured doughnut deal. It’ll be sure to give you your final boost of energy to take on the rest of the Khatsahlano festival.
