For those of us who aren’t exactly early risers, breakfast needs to be portable and affordable. That’s why sandwiches make such great options; all the protein and carbs wrapped in one handy bundle. To break the fast when you’re on the go, Vancity Buzz and Chowmenow found some sandos around Vancouver that are $5 or less.

You may go CooCoo for the English Muffin Paninis, especially when they’re just $3.75.  Choose one from the four different flavours and chow down on the patio (bonus: free WiFi!).

The Breakfast Bagel at Heidi’s is stuffed with egg, tomato, bacon, and cheese on your choice of white or whole wheat. And it’s available any time of day for $4.95.

Although their prices have gone up a little, you can still have a croissantwich for around $5. Both served with provolone and mayo, choose from the Bacon & Egg croissant or the Turkey & Egg, which has lettuce and tomato.
