The Professor Suzuki Cocktail: Thyme-Infused Vodka, Sea Buckthorn and Cranberry Liqueur

Professor Suzuki Cocktail

In honour of Vancouver’s own David Suzuki, I’ve created a very earth-friendly cocktail — all ingredients, with the exception of the lime juice, are from British Columbia. This refreshing drink is perfect for a summer afternoon spent on a patio, with a scenic view of the Pacific Ocean and the North Shore mountains as your backdrop.

  • Boston shaker
  • Jigger
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Julep strainer

  • Coupe

  • 2.0 oz Thyme-infused Long Table vodka (to infuse: place a few sprigs of thyme in your bottle of vodka)
  • 0.25 oz Okanagan Spirits Sea Buckthorn Liqueur
  • 0.25 oz Okanagan Spirits Cranberry Liqueur
  • 0.5 oz Unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 0.5 oz Honey water (half water, half honey)
  • 0.5 oz Lime juice

  • Pre-chill a coupe glass
  • Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin and add ice
  • Shake for 15 seconds and double strain to coupe glass

  • Garnish with a fresh sprig of thyme
