“Everybody wins” is the first value of the Busker Fest team. And the Busker Fest team is committed to extending the positive influence of the festival as far and wide as possible, to everyone who participates: audiences, artists, vendors, sponsors – everyone! Including anyone who would like to take a stab at busking in the midst of a festival atmosphere. If that sounds like you, the busker fest has a few opportunities for you to participate… if you act quickly!

The festival features a community stage, for scheduled performances by local performance troupes. Last year, on the community stages, the festival featured Tantra Fitness, Origins Parkour and the Fulan Dafa Community (pictured above). This year, if you’re part of performance troupe of any kind, and you’d like to come and show off your tap dancing, martial arts, choral singing, conga lines, salsa moves, roller blading disco power or anything else you do with a committed group, please sign up at: www.amillionbazillion.com/community.
A fly pitch is a site dedicated to respect the basic ethic of busking alive within the programmed festival. Busking is open to anyone with the nerve to give it a shot (and the patience to wait their turn).
Q: If the street is pedestrianized, what do you do with the bus shelters?
A: Turn them into impromptu Art Studios! If you or a group of your peers would like to come to create and share original visual art, get in touch: at info [at] vancouverbuskerfest.com.
