Report and track crime and get the latest Metro Vancouver Transit Police information, right from the palm of your hand using the new OnDuty App.
Transit Police have released OnDuty, a new App that connects all Transit Police channels into one mobile friendly application. Use OnDuty to discreetly report non-emergency issues, track crime hot spots, receive the latest alerts and stay connected to Transit Police social media feeds, using a mobile device.
“A very large proportion of transit users use their smartphone while travelling. Our OnDuty App provides them with a convenient and quick way to obtain Transit Police related information and as a result will contribute to the improvement of safety and security and comfort of the transit community”, said Chief Neil Dubord.
Use the app to discreetly report non-emergency* directly to Transit Police Dispatch. There is no need to draw attention to yourself and you don’t have to wait until you get home to report crime and non-emergency issues on transit.
The Crime Maps feature provides information about crime hotspots along the transit system. Users will get a better understanding of where and when crime occurs. Stay up-to-date on what you need to know. Alerts will keep you informed about public safety concerns, missing persons or major service disruptions in real time. Find out when your next bus will arrive or plan your trip.
*Non-emergency reporting only. For emergencies, please call 911.
Transit Police is committed to maintaining order, promoting safety and reducing crime on the transit system in Metro Vancouver.
