A Wish to Wed Society is dedicated to granting matrimonial wishes to couples (with at least one of the partners) challenged by a life threatening illness or deteriorating health whilst facing a difficult financial situation. This year they will grant one couple their wedding wish, regardless of sexual orientation, beliefs and ethnicity.

The founding members are active professionals in the Vancouver wedding industry and came together by a common desire to give back to those most in need. They believe that an illness does not define the human spirit and that we can rise above our physical limitations.

AWW is proud to announce their first fundraiser at Quilchena Golf Course on July 06, 2014. An afternoon of lunch, golf and amazing activity while helping out an amazing cause! This event is all about celebrating the impact of granting a wish.

At Take a Swing for a Wish to Wed, guests will enjoy a seated lunch while listening to live opera and watching a live dance performance followed by golf lessons. For those who are golf pros or fancy something else, we will be hosting a silent auction consisting of art, diamond jewelry and gift certificates to local businesses amongst many other items. Guests will end this spectacular day with another bout of opera while a high-tea service takes place.

Seated Lunch. Live Opera. Live Dancing. Golf Lessons. High-tea. Silent Auction. Most importantly, raising funds for an amazing cause that has not been attempted in Canada yet.

For more information and tickets, please visit aWishToWed.com/take-a-swing. Ticket prices are $175 ea and sales end July 2. There will be no door sales. Sponsorship opportunities available by contacting AWW.

A Wish to Wed is now accepting applications from couples in the Lower Mainland. To make your wish, please submit an application.
