UPDATE at 9:18 p.m. – Burrard and Granville Stations have reopened with a shuttle train service, but Waterfront Station remains closed due to the medical emergency.

Earlier at 8:31 p.m.

Much of SkyTrain’s Expo and Millennium Line service in downtown Vancouver is currently closed at this hour.

A medical emergency just after 8 p.m. has led to a shutdown of train service at Waterfront, Burrard and Granville Stations, causing systemwide delays on the SkyTrain network. Police and emergency responders are currently at the scene of the incident.

Those traveling to/from downtown Vancouver on the Expo and Millennium Lines should consider alternate routes. Trains are being turned around at Stadium-Chinatown Station, just before the downtown train tunnel.

It is not known when the three stations will reopen to allow for regular train service to resume.
