When Urban Thai first opened its doors in 2000, Yaletown was a shadow of what it is today. Serving a variety of traditional and contemporary Thai dishes, Urban Thai has developed a loyal following in its 14 years in business.

Lunch specials are popular amongst those who work in the Yaletown area, with quick and friendly service, and lunch specials at just $9.

Last year, Urban Thai underwent a massive renovation and has emerged with a whole new attitude. The lighting is soft, warm and inviting, while the gold and ebony accents complement the rugged post and beam design.

dining

In addition to the main dining area, there is also a round Chef’s Table with a lazy susan ideal for family style sharing. A lounge has been added for more casual get-togethers, as well as a long bar, perfect for catching the games.

With patio weather on the way, be sure to check out the heated patio for some amazing Thai cocktails. The space is perfect for birthday parties and can host up to 140 guests for private events as well.

And now, Urban Thai is revealing yet another side. Join them every Friday for #PreGameFridays! It’s the perfect spot for dinner before hitting the clubs. Not into the club scene? Stay and enjoy their resident DJ, who will be spinning Old School  mature beats from the 90s from 9pm until late.
