The Vancouver Police Department arrested three individuals on Sunday night following a double stabbing at SkyTrain’s Main Street-Science World Station.

At 5:30 p.m., police officers reported to a fight near the station that involved bear spray. They found two 15-year old individuals – one female and one male – who had been stabbed. Both youth were taking to hospital with serious injuries and are in stable condition.

Later in the evening at 9:30 p.m., police arrested two men and one woman. The attack does not appear to be random but the motive remains unclear. The victims and suspects are known to police.

“Police believe that there are witnesses out there who have valuable information to share,” said Vancouver Police Sgt. Randy Fincham.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crime Section at 604-717-2541 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
