32-year old Abbotsford gymnastics coach charged with sexual intereference

On Thursday of last week, Langley RCMP initiated an investigation into a report of sexual interference that was allegedly committed by a coach associated to the Langley Gymnastics Foundation.
On Friday, March 7 Crown Counsel approved one charge of sexual interference against a Foundation coach, John William Henry. He is currently remanded in custody and will next appear in court on Friday, March 14, 2014.

Langley RCMP Serious Crime Unit swiftly assumed conduct of the continuing investigation and are interested in hearing from anyone with information that could further their efforts.

John Henry, age 32 of Abbotsford, was arrested on March 6 and has been co-operative with investigators.

Langley RCMP Client Support and Victim Services is available to provide support and guidance to those impacted by this investigation.

In order to protect the integrity of the investigation, further details related to this allegation will not be released as this matter is now before the courts. It is crucial to ensure the identities of the victim and any potential witnesses are protected.
