For those of us who don’t exactly have predictable schedules, getting to the gym can be difficult on certain days, and this can often throw off our entire workout schedule. We finally get some time in the evening, and discover that the local community centre gym will be closing in a half hour, putting our gains at a halt!
Fortunately for us, Vancouver is an active place, with a plethora of fitness facilities. Despite our 24/7 options being limited, we do have some excellent ones available. In this article, we discuss five of best 24-hour gym and fitness options in Vancouver.
This is the crown jewel of 24-hour fitness in the lower mainland. Anytime Fitness is an industry-leading franchise which has locations all over North America. Aside from the fact that it’s open 24/7, they also allow the member to use their membership at any Anytime Fitness location. Locations are blossoming all over the Greater Vancouver area, and can now be found in Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey and Langley. Aside from gym services, they provide 24-hour tanning services, as well. The gym is monitored by security and the company promotes it as a safe place to work out. They also provide online tools to help you with your training, as well as a seven day trial for anyone who is interested in the gym.

Sugar Ray’s Boxing Gym
One of Vancouver’s premier combat sport gyms is open 24 hours a day. This gym is known for their superb instruction and accessibility. Considering the steep membership dues of most combat gyms, $350 a year, plus the cost of gloves, is a pretty economical option. That works out to about $30 a month – not bad for a gym membership that allows you to learn how to defend yourself. The gym has all the equipment that other gyms have: cardio equipment, strength equipment and free weights. Instruction is provided from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m., after which the gym is unmanned and requires F.O.B. access.
They offer free trial days on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sugar Ray’s downtown location at 1676 Robson Street, in Vancouver is having some landlord issues. They are opening up another location in Richmond real soon and possibly another location in Kits and downtown Vancouver.
