Shootings at Burnaby restaurant and Surrey convenience store

Crime scene police tape murder

RCMP are in the process of investigating two targeted shootings in Burnaby and Surrey yesterday.

The first incident was at a Cactus Club restaurant on Kingsway across the street from Metropolis at Metrotown at approximately 1 p.m. The man was sitting with a group of people when he was shot by a suspect who later fled on foot. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and no other restaurant patrons were hurt.

Later on at midnight, another targeted hit occurred at a Surrey Mac’s convenience store near 152 Street and 100 Avenue in Guildford. The man was rushed to hospital and the extent of his injuries are not known.
