E.B.O. Restaurant & Lounge

Preparing local ingredients with passion and fresh direction is the focus at this Burnaby restaurant, named for its desire to offer Experiences Beyond the Ordinary.

B.C. ingredients, such as Surrey vegetables and Vancouver Island goat’s cheese, form the basis of their menu of Canadian cuisine with a modern edge. Its Dine Out Vancouver menu includes wild mushroom soup, baked sablefish with black pepper glaze and XO fried rice and a Granny Smith apple compote.

Edible Canada (at the Market)

Based at the culinary wonderland that is the Granville Island Public Market, the Edible Canada bistro is one element of a multi-faceted tourism business aimed at promoting the best B.C. and Canadian fare.

The restaurant calls it “sightseeing for your tastebuds,” an apt description of the patriotic menu created with a farm-to-table philosophy. Edible Canada’s Dine Out Vancouver Menu includes celeriac and apple soup, “head-to-tail” lamb and barley stew, and a bacon ice cream sundae.

Maenam

Dishing up authentic Thai in a modern setting, Maenam has a diverse menu of spicy salads, braised meats, curries and refreshing cocktails to temper that heat. Based in Kitsilano, the restaurant encourages diners to share dishes combining hot, sour, sweet and salty flavours designed to complement each other.

Its Dine Out Vancouver menu includes steamed mussels with lemongrass and Thai basil, a southern-style turmeric seafood curry, and Thai iced tea panacotta.

The Sandbar

Seafood comes with a view at this vast, Granville Island restaurant overlooking False Creek and the city skyline. The ocean fare comes served fresh in chilled platters or prepared in an assortment of entrees including stir-fries, hot pots, pizzas and burgers.

The Sandbar’s Dine Out Vancouver menu includes arancini with marinara sauce, Ciopino fish stew in a fennel tomato broth, and peanut butter cheesecake with chocolate sauce.
