Vancouver has become a bustling hub for Western Canada’s thriving burlesque community. Catching the attention of this years’ Vancouver Fringe Festival was the highly anticipated return of  Gypsy Rose Lee at Minsky’s Burlesque. A production that was showcased this spring at the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival during production night at the Rio Theatre.

Six show dates include: Friday, September 6 at 8:55 P.M. Saturday, September 7 at 10 P.M. Sunday, September 8 at 1:45 P.M. Wednesday, September 11 at 9:45 P.M. Friday, September 13 at 5:00 P.M. Venue: Historic CULTCH Theatre – 1895 Venables Street, Vancouver BC

This is your chance to see many of Vancouver’s top burlesque artists all under one roof. Gypsy Rose Lee at Minsky’s Burlesque is bound to make you laugh, tantalize you and perhaps even teach you a thing or two about the history of burlesque. Or you may just enjoy watching beautiful woman slowly tease your desires. Nonetheless, if you are wanting to see a show this year at the Fringe this is the one you do not want to miss!

The cast: Burgundy Brixx as Gypsy Rose Lee, Doug Thoms/The Purrrfessor as Rags Ragland, April O’Peel as Carrie Finnell, Nicky Ninedoors as Margie Hart, Miss Fitt as Georgia Southern, and August Wiled as Sherry Britton with Munish Sharma, Ava Lure, Voracious V and Ruthe Ordare as the Minsky Rosebuds.

Live music by The Locksmithsunder the direction of John Bews on Bass with Dominic Conway on Sax, Alison Gorman on Trunpet and Liam MacDonald on Drums. Mary Ancheta on Keyboards (with additional charts and arrangements) by Keyboard player Sean Bayntun.
